Financial Operations Specialist

We are growing, and we are looking for a Financial Operations Specialist to join our finance team and help ensure accuracy, control, and confidence across all financial processes.

The Role

This role sits at the heart of Adesco's financial engine. You will be responsible for ensuring that cash movements, reconciliations, and financial records are accurate, timely, and fully supported. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies, support reporting, and strengthen financial controls as the business scales.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with high-volume financial data in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, payment processors, general ledger accounts, and key sub-ledgers including AP, AR, clearing, suspense, and settlement accounts
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by tracing transactions, coordinating with internal teams such as operations, product, and customer support
  • Post correcting journal entries where required, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Support month-end and year-end close by preparing reconciliation schedules, ageing reports, and supporting documentation for management and auditors
  • Monitor cash positions, incoming and outgoing payments, and settlement cycles, and support cash flow forecasting activities
  • Ensure invoices, receipts, supplier payments, and customer refunds are processed accurately and in line with internal policies, approval workflows, and cut-off timelines
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for reconciliation procedures, financial controls, and process flows
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, standardization, and improved controls, and support implementation of those improvements
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc financial operations reports such as unreconciled items, clearing account ageing, and exception summaries for finance leadership

Requirements

  • Experience in financial operations, accounting, or reconciliation roles, ideally in fintech, payments, financial services, or a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, and transaction flows
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and large data sets
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance teams
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting audits is a strong advantage
  • Relevant academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Experience in Israeli bookkeeping, banking, payments and related software
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English
